6th Annual Hellenic Soccer Tournament - Schaumburg, Illinois, USA - September 3 & 4, 2011

Hellenic United Athletic Club swept the 6th Annual Hellenic Soccer Tournament by winning both the Men's Open and Men's Over 38 Divisions.

Olympic Park in Schaumburg, Illinois, USA (near Chicago) was the site chosen for the 6th Annual Hellenic Soccer Tournament. The battle for the undisputed North American Amateur Hellenic Soccer Tournament championship included 14 teams representing 7 cities (Chicago, Gary, New York, Ottawa, London, Toronto, Windsor) from 2 different countries (Canada and USA). For another year, everyone enjoyed perfect fall weather.

The Men's Open Division championship crown went to Hellenic United Athletic Club from Chicago, Illinois, USA after the fourth -time participant beat first -time participant Olympians from London, Ontario, Canada with a score of 3-0.

The Men's Over 38 Division championship crown went to Hellenic United Athletic Club from Chicago, Illinois, USA after the fourth -time participant beat fourth -time participant O.A.C.A. Olympic Spirit from Chicago, Illinois, USA with a score of 4-1.

The 6th Annual Hellenic Soccer Tournament was concluded on Sunday, September 4th, 2011 with an awards ceremony banquet. Prizes were awarded to the winners by Olympiacos Piraeus FC delegates visiting Chicago to announce their official academies. Mr. Giorgos Pavlou (CEO, Thrylos A.E.) handed out the Over 30 Division championship award, Mr. Giorgos Amanatidis (Olympiacos FC Technical Advisor / Scout) handed out the Men's Open division championship award, while Mr. Charalampos Zelenitsas (Olympiacos FC Academy Director) honored Chicago Fire defender Paraskevas Pantazopoulos.
